Broadly there are three different types of trainings when you work with ACI:
1. The brown-bag/Lunch ‘n Learn Seminars are 1 hour trainings; about 45 minutes for the presentation and 10-15 minutes for Q&A. These are generally held during the lunch time hour, and employees are encouraged to bring their lunches. ACI does not provide lunch.
2. On-site trainings are up to 2 hours; these trainings focus on Managing Stress, Managing People, and Managing Life.
Managing Life: example; Balancing Work and Family: Learn techniques for finding what you need to survive and what your family needs to prosper and maintain fulfillment.
Managing Stress: example; Conflict Management: Will help you find productive ways to deal, cope and resolve difficult situations that you might encounter at work.
Managing People: example; Becoming Great Manager: Learn tips on becoming a great manager. Define what makes a great manager and describe leadership skills
Some frequently requested trainings are: Personalities in the workplace, Building a Better Team, and Balancing Work and Family to name a few.
Providers are able to bring some materials of their own (i.e. their publishings, business cards etc) however, they are not allowed to sell anything at these trainings.
3. CISD (Critical Incident Stress Debriefing): CISD is designed to help individuals, groups, or entire organizations cope with the difficult, overwhelming and/or stressful emotions associated with critical incidents or traumatic events. Some examples of critical incidents include:
Workplace Violence
Untimely Deaths
Accidents
Robberies
Random Crime
Other Traumas
CISD helps mitigate acute post-traumatic symptoms, assess the need for follow-up, and if possible, provide a sense of post-crisis psychological closure. If prompt trauma intervention is provided at the onset of the crisis, damaging long term effects can be minimized and employees will be better equipped to return to their daily work routine.
